What makes GCS different?

Fit and Finish

GCS produces a wide range of products, from vacuum-formed, multi-piece shroud and panel inserts, to speaker boxes to elaborate glove boxes. They take extra pride in the quality of their tooling and finishing. Their standards are for smooth wave-free surfaces, tight and consistent spacing around components, and uniform error-free trimming. Once a GCS part is fitted to your boat, it will always be the same.

Engineering Expertise and Support

GCS offers the resources of both a certified ABYC Technician, and a fully degreed Electrical Engineer. 

GCS has acted in the dual capacity of supplier and as electrical consultant to many of its OEM customers. For example, they can advise when a system isn't ABYC compliant and what would be required for compliance. This is a free of charge informational service that is provided. The customer still makes the final decisions on what changes, if any, will be made. 

Once any designs are approved, GCS supplies an AutoCAD file and/or drawings for the OEM's records. Deviations from the approved file will only happen with the client's approval. 

Quality Materials

Each and every wire harness utilizes components that meet or exceed ABYC / NMMA standards. 

GCS uses only TEW tinned wire. This greatly reduces the possibility of wire corrosion. 

GCS enjoys a strong relationship with all major component and material suppliers. They update their customers on new developments or items that may provide a cost saving or superior performance.

Quality Control 

GCS uses computer monitors at all assembly stations where panels and harnesses are built. These monitors display the most recent schematic and layout for the part being made. This greatly reduces errors. 

Each and every electrical part that leaves the GCS facility receives a complete electrical test on all circuits. 

Once tested and approved, each part is then labeled with a bar code serial label. This provides a means of tracking the history of the component. Additionally, any customer requested information could be added to this label (boat model, customer PN#, etc.).
